The Sony Pictures project was an eight-story 216,154-square-foot building in Culver City, Calif. Cupertino Electric was involved as a major electrical contractor in both the core/shell and tenant improvement projects, which were done in a high-traffic area on a fast-track schedule. The build-out included a 7,921-square-foot kitchen servery and commissary with an outdoor “urban edge” seating area for employees and guests. CEI also built three medium-voltage sub-stations, a large underground infrastructure and other site improvements at the active studio lot.
