This Target retail project in San Francisco’s “City Center” involved the update of the facade of an aging shopping center and the addition of high-end LED lighting reflecting on large glass panels on the exterior of the storefronts. The original project scope included plans and specifications, but due to the complicated LED features resulted in Cupertino Electric taking a design/assist role on the project. Transformers on the roof and garage area feed the LED lighting feature and work was conducted using scaffolding to reach a height of 60 feet for the installation of lighting on glass panels in the retail complex. Despite the complex lighting requirements and installation challenges due to the configuration of the LED lights the project was completed injury-free.
